Christianity in Nepal

Politically Nepal:
There is no doubt that Nepal is beautiful mountainous country. All the different people group live in peace and harmony. Since its history, Nepali society has multi-belief/ religious character. Administratively, Nepal has been divided into 14 zones and 75 districts. From the eighteenth century, forefathers of the present king (Shah Dynasty) started to unify various states scattered and divided into many small principalities. In 1951, the Nepalese monarch in support of democratic forces eliminated the century-old system ruled by hereditary premiers and institutionalized the cabinet system of government in Nepal. But, in 1960, the king collapsed the democratic system and started the party less system. In 1990, the restoration of democracy took place after people’s movement. And since 2008 Nepal has Republican Democratic Governing system after Jana Andonlan-2 against the Democratic Monarchy. Along with the political change all of the systems are affected as well the socio-cultural aspects.
